Terms governing use of the GospelBench website and benchmark data.
By accessing or using the GospelBench website at gospelbench.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use this website.
GospelBench is a behavioral benchmark that measures how AI language models engage with essential Protestant Christian theology. The website is a static site that publishes benchmark methodology, results, and related documentation. The service does not require user accounts, process transactions, or collect personal data beyond newsletter subscriptions.
All content on this website — including but not limited to text, data, methodology, scoring rubrics, question sets, results tables, and design — is copyright © 2026 GospelBench / Trent Arrington. All rights reserved.
The scoring specification — including all 16 questions, 5 question types, and scoring criteria — is published for transparency and reproducibility. Publication does not constitute a license to redistribute or commercialize the benchmark.
The question set and scoring criteria are locked. This ensures all results are reproducible and comparable across time. Any future changes will be documented with a full explanation of what changed and why.
GospelBench measures behavioral engagement with Protestant Christian theology — not model quality, general intelligence, or overall usefulness. A high score indicates theological alignment with the benchmark's doctrinal framework; a low score does not indicate a "bad" model. Results should be interpreted within the stated theological and methodological context.
The benchmark data is provided as-is. While every effort has been made to ensure accuracy through consistent scoring protocols and multi-judge validation, GospelBench makes no warranties regarding the completeness or applicability of results to any specific use case.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GospelBench and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or reliance on the benchmark data, methodology, or any content published on this website.
GospelBench reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from the use of this website shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
